The lively restaurant is anchored by a hard-working 16’ bar that keeps everyone well lubricated. The informal family-style picnic tables and indoor- outdoor dining experience spills out on the deck overlooking Long Island Sound. Using produce and meat from the bounty provided by the North Fork and Sound, the restaurant prepares well-seasoned interpretations of New England classics with food that is fresh and simple. The decor emphasizes the casual and eschews fuss and formality for approachable, full flavored fare. Simple wood tables and chairs balance the exposed ceiling truss, while the classic captain’s chairs around the expansive bar hint at the property’s nautical geography and history. Whitewashed walls complemented by seafaring paintings and ephemera bring a sense of whimsy and utility. The reclaimed hardwood floor has ingrained wear that will only get better with time.
