Perched high on a hill surrounded by fields of grass and trees stands the Scribner’s Catskill Lodge. Since 1966, this building has welcomed and warmed the spirits of adventurers seeking refuge from their daily lives, travels, or explorations. Reopened in October 2016, following a complete transformation, it is unique in almost every way. Things are different here. There’s a brick road inside where people used to unload cars. This is where you’ll check in.
In the summer, you’ll swim in the pool. In the winter, you’ll huddle around the fires. The rooms, which are unusual and generally all different, have fireplaces and lofted living quarters. This is where you’ll cozy up and gain some ground with friends old and new.Downstairs, guests gather for an Alpine dinner at Prospect prepared by local chefs. At night, patrons revel with friends for evening cocktails and watch the sun sink behind the mountains.
